It looks like the clinical trial is really on for Paul for next week. We came to U of C yesterday and he had a chest x-ray, blood work, and EKG. We also saw Katie Kunkel, who is working with the doctor on the clinical trial, and Dr. Nicholas.
Paul has an MRI scheduled for Tuesday morning and then he will check into the hospital. He'll have a pulmonary function test and who knows what else after he checks in. The treatment is Wednesday - it takes about 6 hours. Then he'll come home on Thursday. After the chest x-ray, we stopped in to visit a radiologist who is a friend of Paul's. He showed us some new viewing equipment they have on their PC's by looking up Paul's chest x-ray. It turns out he had 5 broken ribs!
