Thought I would let you know that Paul's shoulder and ribs seem to be healing. He still has some pain, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was. His tumor symptoms, however, don't seem to be any better. In fact, it seems to me that they are getting worse. I think he's having even more difficulty expressing himself. I can usually figure out what he's saying, but he sometimes has to give me lots of clues first.

Paul is singing a duet for church next Sunday. Actually it's going to be a trio. I'm going to sing Paul's part along with him. He's having difficulty with the words because he can't read them and he can't remember them when he's singing by himself. However, if I sing along with him he does just fine. He actually knows the words and can sing them fine if he hears someone else singing at the same time. I guess I'll be singing tenor at choir this year if there aren't any other tenors. My voice isn't very strong, so no one will hear me except Paul, but I figure if he can hear me then he can sing out so everyone can hear him.

The Park Forest Singers had their first rehearsal this week, and he went. He's not sure whether he's actually going to be able to sing with them, but he thought he would give it a try. Again, there are enough other voices on the part that I think he will be able to follow along ok.
