Paul had the surgery on his shoulder today and everything went well. They gave him a local anesthesia instead of general anesthesia. The surgery itself was about an hour and a half, then he was in recovery about half an hour, then in his room for a couple of hours, and then they sent him home.

I guess the x-rays yesterday showed that Paul has a collapsed lung, or a partially collapsed lung. It was the anesthesiologist who told me about it. I asked the orthopedic doctor about it and he said it was nothing to be concerned about. I guess I'll call Paul's primary physician tomorrow to see what he says.
